What we do

Our Services

The HERD Institute® offers training and certifications in the art of equine-facilitated psychotherapy and learning (EFPL). Founded on experiential learning principles and academic excellence, our training is offered with CE approval by the National Board for Certified Counselors* (NBCC), and CEU approval by the American Psychological Association (APA)**.

We also offer a range of workshops and retreats aimed for personal and professional development. Whether you want to take some time to explore your own process, or add to your skill set, The HERD Institute® can support you on your journey.

*The HERD Institute®, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6845. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. The HERD Institute®, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.

**The HERD Institute® is approved to provide Continuing Education through the American Psychological Association. Our Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy Certification offers 8 clock hours of CE per module. APA Division 32, Society for Humanistic Psychology, is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. APA Division 32, Society for Humanistic Psychology maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
